Product Profile—Tripeptide-10 Citrulline, decorinyl
Decorin (decorin) is a kind of proteoglycan which mainly exists in the connective tissue and is associated with collagen fibers. It belongs to the family of small extracellular leucine-rich proteoglycans. It consists of a spherical nucleoprotein and a large glycosaminoglycan side chain containing chondroitin sulfate / dermatan sulfate. It was first isolated and purified in 1978 by Professor Fisher of the Orthopaedic Institute of the National Institutes of Health. The core protein structure of decorin binds to type I collagen, which restricts the lateral assembly of collagen molecules through the formation of anti-parallel double helix structure between GAG side chains, regulates the diameter of collagen fibers, and ensures the correct assembly of collagen fibers. The glycosaminoglycan side chain of decorin shortens and the distance between collagen fibers changes in aging skin, leading to structural instability of collagen, resulting in poor skin supporting tissue quality, decreased dermal density and epidermal relaxation.

Mechanism of action—Tripeptide-10 Citrulline, decorinyl
Tripeptide-10 citrulline simulates decorin, regulates the formation process of collagen fibers, maintains the appropriate space distance between fibrils and size uniformity, enhances the stability of fibrils in tissues, improves skin elasticity, and increases skin firmness.
